A recent study of brain-injured veterans, “A Phase I Study of Low-Pressure Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Blast-Induced Post-Concussion Syndrome and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder,” has proven that hyperbaric oxygen therapy is very successful in treating mild to moderate brain injuries. On average, the veterans obtained:
– A nearly 15 point IQ increase
– A 39% reduction in post-concussion syndrome
– A 30% reduction in PTSD symptoms
– A 51% reduction in depression and
– An 87% reduction in headaches
All veterans who have completed a full course of 40 treatments have experienced significant benefit.
